올해 미국 에나멜 협회주관 컨퍼런스가 미국 캘리포니아 오크랜드에서 진행 됩니다.
컨퍼런스 전과 후에는 워크샵이 진행될 예정 입니다.

이 협회에서는 2년에 한 번씩 국제 공모전을 진행하고 있고,
이번 공모전에는 391점이 출품하여 95점이 입선하였고,
그 중 제가 출품한 2점이 입선되었습니다.김미연선생님 도움이 컸죠.
입선 된 작품중,전시기간 중에 특별상(3개부문)을 선정 하게됩니다.
지속적인 관심을 가지고, 국제적인 공모전에 참여하시고 싶으신 분은 ,

등록이 되면, 미국 협회의 행사에 대한 안내를 받으실 수 있으니,
개인 적으로 작가의 경력을 위해서나, 국제적인 에나멜 정보를 얻고 ,
보다 발전된 에나멜 작품을 하고자하시는 분들에게 추천합니다.
이번에 제가 미국 협회와의 직접적인 connection을 위해 enamelartkorea라는 새 guild를 설립했고,
아주 어린 연령층이나 아주 순수하게 에나멜 작업을 원하시는 분들에게 에나멜 작업을 소개하고,
특히 무연에나멜을 사용하여 작업을 하시는 분들의 연구모임을 개설했습니다.
이번 컨퍼런스에서 한국의 전반적인 에나멜 작업 현황을 소개하기위한
오클랜드에서의 connection room에 전시할 CD나, 도록을 수집 중이오니..

The Enamelist Society invites all Enamel Guilds and interested schools, organizations and programs to participate in CONNECTIONS, a great place for conference attendees to learn about others who have a common interest in enameling. This is an opportunity for you to inform others about what your organization is doing in the field of enameling. It’s Free to participate! And new for this conference, The CONNECTIONS information center will be centrally located for the duration of the conference and accessible to the public. It should be our best year ever to “connect”!
We are asking you to provide information and printed literature for attendees that can be presented as brochures, guild newsletters, program schedules, meeting schedules, exhibition opportunities, enamel-specific travel opportunities, and so forth. We will also have the capacity for digitally presented information, such as slide shows and videos on DVD’s or CD‘s. If you are attending the conference, we would like you or representatives of your organization to be available during designated times during the conference to meet and greet other attendees. If your organization will not be able to have a representative at the conference, we can display your literature on your behalf
Here’s a specific list of entities and activities covered in the CONNECTIONS area:
• Enamel Excursions- trips to take, or trips already taken by members, photo essays
• Arts and Crafts Schools and other schools offering enamel education - work-studies, resident artist programs, classes and workshops available.
• Grants and scholarships. Lists of schools and organizations with these facilities.
• Exhibitions of interest to see in 2009-2010
• Catalogs of interest to enamellists
• Publications. Books, magazines, articles relating to enameling, newsletters.
• Mailing list sign-ups
• Enamel organizations or enamel-related organizations
CONNECTIONS is a non-sales space committed to the free exchange of information.
Please let me know if your guild, school or organization intends to participate in CONNECTIONS, either by filling out the attached form and mailing it, or by emailing me directly at bbowling@cableone.net.
At this time, we only need to know that you will use display space at the conference. We will get back in touch with you next May with more details regarding shipping and display options.

Every participant in CONNECTIONS will be provided with skirted table space, one chair and a sign for their organization. All participants will be listed in the conference program. Participants are responsible for providing their own displays.
